  • Aretha Franklin dies at 76.
  • Seven members of one family – five of which are children – died on vacation in Oregon when a car swerved into their lane.
  • This week, a young girl was standing over a bridge, contemplating jumping 60 feet into the water. All the sudden, she was pushed in by a girl – and the video went viral. The girl who fell broke several bones and is calling for the pusher to go to jail.


  • A woman in Sweden was in a job interview when she asked to not shake hands with a man because of her faith. The interviewers cut the interview short. She took it to court and won $4,350 in the Swedish labor court.
  • Students in Mexico have made a jacket that causes an electric shock to anyone who tries to grab the person wearing the jacket. The idea is that this will prevent women from getting assaulted.
  • The United Nations is calling for the release of Nabeel Rajab. Rajab is sentenced for creating a pro-democracy uprising in 2011 in Bahrain.



  • Pete Davidson – SNL cast member – told Ariana Grande he wanted to marry her the day they met.
